Our current SMARTOptics-Versions introduce a series of enhancements and bug fixes aimed at further optimizing your experience with our product.

Enhancements

  • Element definition added to part mode.
    SMARTOptics element definition in part
  • If the refraction index is specified using points, one point is now permitted. This value is then used for all wavelengths.
SMARTOptics material definition with only one point
  • If color of illuminant changes, the ray and point colors are updated in Creo without recalculating.
    • before
      SMARTOptics illuminant color green
    • after – without update

Bugfixes

  • If an error occurs when creating a curve, the process is no longer interrupted. A message is displayed if an error occurs.
  • The refractive index for materials was not saved correctly to the database.
  • Illuminants should not have solid material or surfaces. If a ray has an intersection with an illuminant, the ray ends up as absorbing.
  • The illuminant parameter ‘BUW_SO_AKTIV’ is created as Boolean parameter. In the past, it was created as an integer parameter. This led to problems if an attempt was made to change the value. If the parameter already exist with different type, it is deleted now and created as a Boolean parameter.
